The Coalition has actively supported the election of our endorsed candidates in Sonoma County elections since our inception in 2002. Each year, we become more effective and more Coalition-endorsed candidates are elected.

In 2008, the Coalition helped elect County Supervisor Shirlee Zane, achieved the first ever progressive City Council majority in Santa Rosa, re-elected a progressive majority on Petaluma's City Council and elected progressive candidates throughout the County.

The Coalition is planning to continue its advocacy in the 2010 elections, with two Supervisorial races and many City Council races coming up – and for years in the future.
