We’re very proud of the many Coalition endorsed candidates who ran for office, and won, in the November 2006 elections:

The Coalition endorsed a total of 24 candidates for 1 mayoral race, 8 City Council races, 2 school board races and the SRJC Board of Trustees, and of those 24 candidates, 17 were elected.

Coalition Does Sucessful Independent Expenditure!
In addition to providing assistance to the Coalition endorsed candidates who ran for office, the Coalition also did a very successful independent expenditure mailing about the Santa Rosa City Council election. At least partially as a result of this Coalition effort, developer-backed candidates for the Santa Rosa City Council – David Poulsen and Shaun Faber – only managed to finish 6th and 7th, respectively; well out of the running!

Many thanks to all who made this happen, including Rick Thomas, a new member of the Coalition, who provided funding above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that the mail piece went to all likely voters in Santa Rosa.
